Lung Cancer Alliance

They are the only national non-profit organization dedicated solely to providing support and advocacy for people living with or at risk for the disease.

Their mission ending injustice and saving lives through an alliance of advocacy, education and support.
Their vision is to reduce lung cancer mortality by at least 50% by 2020.
Founded in 1995, their first priority and founding hallmark is to meet the needs of lung cancer patients and those at risk. As the largest lung cancer advocacy organization in the world, we work tirelessly to improve outcomes, eliminate stigma and secure public health research dollars. Thanks primarily to the support of thousands of individuals who initially get help from us and then in turn desire to give back, we have met many milestones:

Reaching thousands of hospitals and cancer centers nationwide and responding to thousands of calls and emails per month so that patients and families know that they’re not alone — and that we are here to help through free support, information and referral services.

Empowering families to help eliminate stigma through successful national awareness campaigns, including Give A Scan, Team Lung Love, and the National Shine A Light on Lung Cancer Vigil reaching every state.
Training thousands of lung cancer activists to educate elected officials and secure millions more in public health research dollars.
