DESCRIPTION:“Cancer survivors\, Caregivers & Friends of the Chicago Bears” \nWe are thrilled to invite you\, for the 3rd year in a row\, to Team Draft’s (Virtual) Tackling Cancer Camp  with the Chicago Bears\, in collaboration with the Blue Hat Foundation\, Inc. \nAlthough we are unable to gather together at the iconic Halas Hall\, we are excited to gather together virtually on October 18th at Noon CT to enjoy watching your Chicago Bears play the Carolina Panthers. While we will all be watching the game individually at home\, we will be creating an interactive experience for our survivors\, caregivers and their families! \nWe will have Bears trivia (with BIG prizes involved: chance to win gift cards\, autographed merchandise\, Bears swag\, etc.)\, special guests pop-in to say hello\, scoring celebrations for every touchdown\, field goal\, interception\, QB sack AND a survivorship chat about resources made available to you during halftime. DESCRIPTION:In early November\, retired NFL linebacker Chris Draft visited the Healing Garden of the Sophia Gordon Cancer Center at Lahey Medical Center\, Peabody\, alongside Beth Israel Lahey Health clinicians to raise awareness about lung cancer and create a community for those who are caregivers\, and survivors.\nChris is a national spokesperson for The White Ribbon Project\, an international grassroots movement committed to changing public perception about lung cancer. He was joined by cancer survivor Lisa Haines\, a six-year survivor with Stage IV Non-Small Lung Cancer who has been treated at Lahey\, Addison Gilbert\, and Beverly Hospital.  \n“In the past couple of years\, I have become an active patient advocate. My newest advocacy is being a part of The White Ribbon Project\,” Lisa shared. “I’m very lucky to now be stable and doing well\, thanks to many amazing medical professionals\, all part of Lahey.”   \n“Seeing more patients survive from lung cancer due to early intervention is our mission\,” said Andrea McKee\, MD\, Radiation Oncology at LHMC. “That’s why from 2012 through 2016 Lahey offered the Rescue Lung\, Rescue Life community benefit CT lung screening program – to save lives and provide open access to those at high risk for lung cancer regardless of financial means.
