The survivors watched the Nebraska Cornhuskers defeat the Purdue Boilermakers. #Tacklinglungcancer #GoBigRed \nKim Buchmeier\, Lung Cancer Survivor-Advocate   \n“I am blessed to be surrounded by my fellow Lung Cancer Survivors as we work together to change the face of Lung Cancer…one stadium at a time!” \nCandi Trioa\, Lung Cancer Survivor-Advocate\n \n“Well OK it really doesn’t get any better than this to be surrounded by my fellow survivors. I’m really looking forward to spending time with each and everyone of them.” \n\nLeah Bochnicek\, Lung Cancer Survivor-Advocate  \n\nAs a cradle Husker and UNL alum\, spending a beautiful fall day with my husband in a sold out Husker stadium\, representing the face of lung cancer with fellow Husker survivors…that’s going to be a day to remember!! (Especially if we win!) \nIn 2012\, we\, Team Draft\, launched our inaugural Survivor at Every Stadium initiative on CNN during a nationally-televised prime time special focusing on lung cancer and our National Campaign to Change the Face of Lung Cancer. \nLeveraging our connections with the NCAA\, its teams and players and our relationships with many of the top cancer centers in the country\, As part of our National Campaign\, this celebration of survivorship raises lung cancer awareness\, gives hope to those battling the disease\, and shines a light on the important work being done at cancer research and treatment centers around the country. \n\nTeam Draft’s goals are to create a unique experience for participating survivors and to raise awareness on a local\, national\, and international level by using each game and each survivor’s story to weave a broader narrative about the state of cancer and the hope that now exists for those battling the disease. \n\n\nSpecial thanks to the University of Nebraska\, University of Nebraska Buffett Cancer Center\, Chris Anderson\, and all of our Team Draft supporters for helping make this event possible. \nDonate now to Support the National Campaign to Change the Face of Lung Cancer!  \n \nCandi\, Frank\, and Kim are changing the face of lung cancer!\nLeah & Tim Bochnicek are tackling lung cancer!

SUMMARY:Tackling Lung Cancer in Atlanta\, GA
DESCRIPTION:Atlanta\, GA. Prior to the Atlanta Falcons game on Sunday\, seven Georgia lung cancer survivor-advocates and their guests attended Lunch & Learn at STATS Atlanta organized by The Chris Draft Family Foundation and sponsored by Myriad (MyPlanLung). The survivor-advocates\, Delene Kepler\, Michael Blonder\, Patty Watkins\, Marcus Krause\, Jackie Archer\, Ellis Lanham\, and Samantha Mixon\, were joined by Lung Cancer Experts from Wellstar Health System. All of the survivor-advocates have unique journeys that they were able to share with each other. \nDelene Kepler  \nIt was so nice to see other survivors and to hear their stories. Each person’s story is different except for the fact we all have lung cancer and the faces of all will forever be in my mind.
